Noble Musicians Honored By Fidelity Investments

Pritzker College Prep students were given a huge surprise from Fidelity Investments on Februrary 9 with a special unveiling of $25,000 worth of new instruments for their school.  Pritzker was one of four Chicago schools to receive the award.  The young musicians were invited to be part of the 2010 Fidelity FutureStage program. The Pritzker Band will next perform classical and Russian folk repetoire at Chicago's Symphony Center on March 25.

Noble Teacher Recognized Nationally

Pritzker College Prep Music Teacher Benjamin Das was chosen as one of five teachers nationwide to receive the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation Award.  The annual award recognizes the best music teachers in the country. On April 16, the Foundation will fly Mr. Das to New York to receive the award and a check for $10,000 from Guitar Center, Inc. at Carnegie Hall.

Noble Hosts Teacher Recruitment Fair

Over 100 prospective teachers attended an invitation-only  recruitment fair on February 27.  Noble will hire approximately 100 new teachers this year across its ten campuses.  Noble administrators work hard to hire the best and brightest teachers to serve our student body and the competition is stiff - only 7% of applicants are hired.  The Noble Network maintains a 90% teacher retention rate.

Noble Exemplifies Federal Education Strategy

A recent interview highlighting U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan's views on where the country should be focusing its education strategy shows that Noble is right on par with the Administration's hopes.  Noble has long been evaluating teachers based on students' academic growth and teacher bonus systems are tied to student performance.  As the top performing open-enrollment high school in Chicago, Noble is effectively using its autonomy as a charter to implement a strong school culture, rigorous curriculum and hire the best and brightest teachers in our country.
