All Noble High Schools with Junior Classes Rank as Chicago's Top Performing Non- Selective Public High Schools for Third Year in a Row
CPS recently released the 2011 ACT results for Chicago high schools. For the third year in a row, all Noble campuses with juniors ranked among the top 10 highest performing non-selective public high schools in the city. Our average ACT score increased significantly from 19.5 in 2010 to 20.3 in 2011. This is compared to CPS' average score of 17.2, which includes the selective enrollment schools. The ACT is just one measure of our performance, but it remains an important benchmark for student improvement. We are proud of our achievements in 2010-2011 and look forward to continuous improvement, year over year.

6,500 Noble Students Return to School
On August 22, more than 2,300 freshmen walked through our doors to begin their high school careers. Our freshmen arrive a week before upper classmen to give them time to adjust to Noble's culture and get comfortable in their new environment. (Read the New York Time's coverage of Johnson College Prep's first week here.) A week earlier, all 650 teachers, administrators and support staff from Noble's 10 campuses gathered at Rauner College Prep for the annual kick-off on August 16 in preparation for the coming year. Noble's founders, Michael and Tonya Milkie, addressed the staff and reflected on how much the network has grown since the first day of school at Noble Street College Prep over a decade ago. This year Noble is serving 6,500 students across our ten campuses.
Just as thousands of Noble high school students began the school year, hundreds of Noble graduates returned to college campuses across the nation. Among the 500 graduates from the Class of 2011 are students attending Yale, Columbia University and the University of Pennsylvania. They join our growing family of 1,400 Noble alumni.
