Noble Campuses have Admission Information Sessions where parents and students can get more information about that particular campus. These are done to ensure that students and parents understand the focus and rules of Noble Street before they apply.
Admission Process for 8th grade applicants:
Noble campuses host Admission Information Sessions during the fall and early winter, during which time 8th graders will get more detailed information about particular campuses and applying to Noble. Note that every Noble campus has an individual application and these are not posted online or distributed to counselors. Applications for admission are handed out at the conclusion of each Admission Information Session.
Applications are due at the end of January (Please refer to the application for the actual deadline for submission). If necessary, a blind lottery is held a week after the deadline. All students who submit a completed application by the deadline are entered in the lottery for their particular campus. The lottery is open to the public, and students and parents are invited to observe. Typically half the families of applicants attend.
The lottery is conducted by printing all participants’ names on 3 x 5 cards and placing those cards in a rolling bin, which is situated publicly on a theater stage. Enrollment is offered to the first names drawn, until all enrollment spots are filled (usually about 250). The drawing continues and waitlist numbers are assigned in the same manner until all names have been pulled from the bin. This process ensures that all applicants partake in the drawing and no student receives admission by any method other than the lottery. Any applications received after the deadline are added to the end of the waitlist.
If you have missed the application deadline and would like to be placed on the waitlist, please complete the Wait List Interest Form. Make sure to note your current school year and the campuses to whose waitlists you would like to be added.
Admission Process for students interested in transferring into a Noble Campus (students who are currently in high school):
The admission process is different for those students interested in transferring into a campus of Noble Street Charter School. Students are placed on a waitlist according to the date they contact us. Campuses might offer enrollment at the beginning of each semester depending on whether they have space available. If a student’s name comes up on a campus’ waitlist, the campus will contact them by phone at the numbers they provided.
If you are a High School student interested in transferring into a Noble campus, please complete the Waitlist Interest Form to add your name to the waitlist. If you have any other questions regarding enrollment, please contact us at 773.278.6895.
