The Noble Way

Noble Street demonstrates the power of school culture by creating an optimal learning environment that instills successful life habits in students. The three tenets that appear on the school’s crest embody this culture:

Noble Street teachers, advisors, coaches and staff incorporate these values into everything they do. In addition, the following elements are key to the culture:

  • A strict, merit-based discipline code helps students become thoughtful and respectful adults and ensures that the learning environment is safe and rarely disrupted. Students earn merits or demerits based on their actions and behavior. Uniforms are required.
  • Student Greeters are responsible for welcoming visitors to the classroom and answering their questions. All students serve as Greeters throughout the year, and develop confidence in interacting with adults.
  • Town Halls are monthly assemblies held across the Noble Network. The assemblies at each campus showcase student and campus achievements to their peers and the community. The assemblies feature music and art performances, guest speakers, sports team recognition, addresses from the principal and students, and presentations from advisories and academic classes. Town Halls are an integral part of the Noble Way because they reinforce the focus on achievement and scholarship while strengthening the campus communities.
  • Community Service teaches students civic responsibility as well as cooperation and leadership skills. All students are required to complete at least 40 hours of community service to graduate.
  • College preparation and focus pervades academic classes, assemblies, field trips, and other activities, uniting students and teachers behind a common, collective goal.
  • The Advisory System provides students and families with a strong support network comprising one teacher and a group of same-gender peers. This group meets daily and remains together all four years. Advisors are the first points of contact with parents and are students’ main advocates and counselors.
